Reasons You Should Opt For Paraben and Sulphate Free Shampoos

Many people now prefer to use a sulfate and paraben-free shampoos; this is because many scientists are now looking negatively on sulfates and parabens as they are believed to have many adverse side effects.
As we all become more savvy about reading the labels on our beauty products, and are increasingly-aware about different skincare ingredients and what the symbols on packaging actually mean, more and more of us are turning to sulphate-free shampoos or their organic counterparts, like many other commonly-found chemicals, sulphates have been bundled into the beauty ingredients blacklist. The inclusion of sulphates in regular everyday shampoo makes it deliciously foamy and can be brilliant for thoroughly cleaning hair. So, if you’re a fan of styling products like hair sprays, gels and dry shampoo, then incorporating a shampoo with sulphate could help reduce product build-up on your scalp.

We spoke to Dr Apoorva Shah, Founder of RichFeel and Pioneer of Trichology in India who says, “Sulphates and parabens are very harsh on your hair which could cause itchiness as it leads to dryness, hair breakage, flaky scalp and even hair loss. Paraben and Sulphate free shampoos help in maintaining natural oils and keep the moisture intact. It softens and soothes the scalp with minimum effort. Sulphate free shampoos are highly recommended for people with dry and rough hair.

So what we are saying?
